I found a switch in the bottom of a box of parts that a friend gave me and he thinks its from a 68 Torino he once owned. I thought that one of you Fairlane of Comet guys might be able to identify it. It has no. C8OA-18972-A along with a Ford emblem printed on it. Looks like it has two brown and one brown and green wire on it. Also has bracket to hang it from the dash. Looks like the knob would spin about 270 deg. He thinks it might be a speaker balance switch?

Possibly a 'fader' switch. Adjust the balance between front and rear speakers. Maybe a reverb switch?

TomP, remember the old spring reverbs? That bonged when you hit a bump?. Uh oh, Showing my age again.

I think you are right. I semi-remember a fader switch in a '68 Fairlane wagon a friend had in high school.
