HOW DO I GET THE BRAKE LITES TO WORK ON MY 1964 COMET ?? I THOUGHT MABE THE SWITCH ON THE PEDAL BUT THERE IS NOT ONE OR IT DID NOT COME WITH ONE THERE. I SEEM TO ONLY HAVE 3 FUSES TOTAL AND ONE THAT IS NOT THERE THAT HAS CONTANT POWER. I SAW TWO WIRES GOING TO THE END OF THE MASTER CYLINDER TO WHAT I AM GUESSING IS A WARNING LITE SENSOR THAT GOES TO THE DASH.I HAVE TWO TURN SIGNALS ON EACH SIDE AND ONE BACK UP LIGHT AND MY LIGHT TESTER CONFIRMS IT BUT I HAVE NO POWER WHEN THE BRAKE IS PUT ON. ANY SUGGESTIONS ??? THANKS ...SCS

That sensor on the end of your master cylinder is the brake light switch. I think they went to the pedal switch in 65? or 66 for sure.

Poes is correct, that is a pressure switch on the end of your MC for brake lights. you have probably got more fuses, take a look on your headlight switch, 2 clips hold the fuse panel to the switch, flip em & you can pull the fuse holder out. At least, i'm pretty sure the Comet has the same fuse set up as the early F;lanes

IM GOING TO JUMP A INLINE FUSE ACROSS IT TOMORROW TO SEE IF THE BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON. BUT I ORDERED THE SWITCH ANY WAYS. ONE LESS NASTY PART TO DEAL WITH. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE HELP...SCS
