I want to convert my 64 Falcon from generator to alternator. If anyone has done this I would like to know what parts you used & how you did it. I have looked at several websites, but I would like to hear from someone who has done it.Thanks, Andy

The easiest way is to get the parts from a 1965 FALCON. But you can modify about any later system to the car if you want to. Just depends on the ALT type you decide on (please do not use GM).-This Page- will give you many technical sources and a possible source for a grille. ------------------ Am Looking For Factory/Aftermarket Speed Parts For The MEL (MERC-EDSEL-LINC-TBIRD) Engine Family (383-410-430-462) Produced From 1958 To 1968 Also Early FORD Special Service Tools -Mercury-Edsel-Lincoln- Forum-

I know the GM switch is scorned by some, but i had more avial. amps using a CS series of GM alts. than i did with a late model mustang alt. Again ,if you look at madelectrical site, Mark offers a complete & easy package to make the switch
