I am aquiring a 1974 Maverick with a 351C hopefully in the next month or two and it currently has an 8" rear end. My question is can these rear ends be made to handle a decent amount of power? Anyone have any sites that sell parts to beef them up? Thanks!

That rear will take 350hp like nothing. I have heard 500 is not a problem. Are you sure its a 351C. Those motors are pretty wide and would require heavy mods to get it in the car! If that was done I can't imagine the rear wasn't done?
