I was at a friends Ford only wrecking yard yesterday, and seen something that I had no idea ever existed. He recently got in a 1980 Pinto, with a factory tachometer and gauge package. The tach is bwside the speedo, and the 3 gauges sit in the middle of the dash where the heater controls normally reside. Since the gauges displaced the heater controls, they are built into a small mini console/bin that sits on the floor, just ahead of the shifter. This Pinto also has a factory sunroof. Has anybody else ever seen a Pinto so equipped? Or does anybody even care? I found it quite interesting.

Any possibility of a digital photo(s)?

I find it very interesting and will have to check into origionality as there were many accessory packages, both OEM and aftermarket for this car.

Is this a 2 dr., 3dr. or wagon?

I can try to get back down there on Friday for a pic. It was a 80 Pinto hatchback model. The owner of the yard said that he has wrecked over 400 Pinto`s, and the only other tach & gauge package he had seen was in one of those silver with stripes Pinto "Cruising Wagons", that had the panel delivery sides with the bubble window on each side, from the late 70`s.
