I want to run just alternator, water pump, crank, idler configuration and have two questions. 1)Did a 1970 Maverick come with a smog pump? If so I have to put one on, otherwise I'm gonna leave it off. 2)Can the AC eliminator pulley be used without upsetting the alternator/idler brackets? Are any of them integrated together? I know I could just hit a wrecking yard and check all this out but does anyone know off hand? Any ideas on how to do this best?

You know you could just run an alternator and water pump off just one belt off the crank like in the old days, right? An old style water pump and set of pullies would do it.------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 Open '70 Mustang Convertible 250 I6/3 speed/2.79 Open '72 Mustang Sprint Hardtop 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Loc '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip [This message has been edited by SteveLaRiviere (edited 05-09-2005).]
