It should if both are six cylinders. The early trans is a 2.77 and the later six and/or eight may be a 3.03.If both use the 2.77, just check input shaft and output shaft spline count to get correct clutch disc and yoke if there is any differences. ------------------ I am looking for information concerning factory performance/aftermarket speed parts (1958/1960) used on the MEL (Mercury-Edsel-Lincoln) (Also Thunderbird 59/60) Engine Series (383-410-430-462) produced from 1958 thru 1968. Can you give me more info on what motors you are using.Like KULTULZ said there are differences. The 60 tranny may have the small bolt pattern but it still may work but you might have to drill and tap the bell housing to use it. But my next question is why do you want to run that tranny? A newer model will be easier and cheaper to get and should be a better tranny.[This message has been edited by 69maverick (edited 03-19-2005).]
