i might be bagging the mach 1. my uncle franks friend has a 76 maverick. body is in excellent shape no rust what so ever. 302 brand new good heads descent intake and a mech secondary four barrel... i belive it is a rebuilt C4 with a good converter shift kit. 9 inch mini spool with 4.11s. full interior with racing bucket sets and four point safety harrnesses. the motor has like a 511 duration lift thats all i know about the cam. the heads are a bit worked. full msd ignition 6al setup with the dizzy and coil. this car is in tip top shape. he was selling it for like 7500. but the motor in the car before was twice as bad ass as this one. and hes trying to get rid of it. he is asking 5500 this sound good or no? also the motor is a stock bottom end. and my uncle said it is a 13 second car. the holley carb is rated at 650 cfm and the cam was setup with the carb. full dual 2.5 inch exhuast with 40 series flows. whats your feelings. my uncle said it would get like 14 mpg if i drive it nice. and i think the price is right.------------------ 1966 coupe 200ci, 3.03 3 speed holley weber two barrel, msd 6a, blaster 2 coil, Duraspark I, 2 inch exhaust to a super turbo, stock rear (3.20),ram air(homemade) white w/ black interior, soon be painted (i hope) with the R model apron 1968 Ford Fairlane 289 auto rotting away 1979 f150 300 six with a three on the tree

dangerous as in busting your azz!! a locked rear end and a damp or greasy spot on the road just dont mix. tends to make your car go round and round!! its hard to make an intelligent guess on the price without actualy seeing the car. but honestly it sounds a little high to me. good luck ------------------ mike r racing is real everything else is just a game. 81 capri-302-7.33 @92mph 1/8 1.54 60 ft. http://community.prestage.com/Member+Pages/789.aspx M&M member #839

The NADA.com book value top price for a stocker is $5200.00 when I used a S. Cal. ZIP code for a value check. Another place to check is with the Maverick message board at maverick.toWhat equipment does it have? Buckets? Console? A/C? Mags? Headers? All that stuff adds up. Then you can go from there.

Oh, on the Mini Spool note. A bunch of years back I think NHRA would not allow the use of a mini spool. Unlike a full spool, the mini only replaces the spider/side gears. The spool replaces the differential assembly. If you break an axle with a spool you still have one axle getting power. With a mini you get nothing if one axle breaks as it is only a coupling for the axles.

I ran a mini spool for quite some time on the street. I never had any close calls but I was very cautious when driving in the rain......The only thing I didn't like was the cherping that comes from the tires when making a U-turn, it also wears out your tires quicker.

i decided against this car. that was one of the reasons. i need something as a daily driver. not a race car that i drive everyday------------------ 1966 coupe 200ci, 3.03 3 speed holley weber two barrel, msd 6a, blaster 2 coil, Duraspark I, 2 inch exhaust to a super turbo, stock rear (3.20),ram air(homemade) white w/ black interior, soon be painted (i hope) with the R model apron 1968 Ford Fairlane 289 auto rotting away 1979 f150 300 six with a three on the tree
