I was crawling around under the '65 Falcon the other day and noticed that the starter on the 289 BARELY clears the center drag link, and when I say BARELY I mean around 1/16"!!! Does anyone make motor mounts that will lift the engine a little higher, or is a mini starter in order? Any suggestions?

Scoop...That's what I thought too! I saw in one of your previous posts that you just got one too. What prices are they running at the parts stores, or you think I can find one cheap at the junkyard?

I paid about $100 for a new one. But you can get one at the yard for a lot less then that. And when it gives out you have the core you need for a new one.------------------

I got a like new one off E-Bay for $45 plus shipping. All you need to do is move the starter wire to the other side of the relay switch and run one wire down to the starter from the start side of the relay switch.
