pepe Journeyman Posts: 9 From: San Diego, California Registered: Nov 2003	posted 11-28-2003 11:41 PM HEY GUYS IVE BEEN BUILDING AND PLAYING WITH LATE MODEL MUSTANGS 5.0.FOR THE LAST PAST 7SEVEN YEARS. NOW I HAVE A FRIEND WITH A 64 FALCON WITH A 6 CYL. ON IT AND WANT ME TO PUT A V8 IN IT. WHAT I KNOW SO FAR IS THAT A V8 WILL FIT JUST FINE WITH V8 FALCON ENGINE MOUNTS, WHAT ABOUT TRANSMISSION WHAT TRANS DO I USE OR WILL FIT ON THIS 64. I WAS THINKING OF BUYING ONE THING COMPLETE WITH TRANSMISSION FROM A CARB. MUSTANG AND JUST SWAP EVERYTHING RIGHT IN THE FALCON WHAT U GUYS THINK IS THIS POSSIBLE?? Registered: Jan 2001	posted 12-01-2003 06:54 PM If I was building just a nice street car I would use a 5.0 with carb.unless you have a mass air donor car with an AOD tranny and a 9" rearend the reason I say a 9" is because its the easiest fit and you can get all the gears at the best price and it can take anything you want to put to it in the future. Unless you have the ability to install a 8.8 then they are a good choice as well. IP: Logged
