My brother has a '62 Falcon, with the 4 lug wheels. He wants to put on newer 5 lug wheels...is this possible? Drum brakes would be okay, but just want to upgrade to a 14 inch wheel with 5 lugs and bigger brakes. Any way this can be done?------------------ Gary M. 1946 Ford pickup 1946 Ford pickup 1957 Ford FL 500 Twn Vic 1970 Mustang SportsRoof

Hey Gary-It is definitely possible. Does anyone know the difference between the 62 and 64-5 Falcons? I am pretty sure the Granada spindles fit on the 64-5s. ------------------ -Charlie Ping 1970 Maverick Grabber [email protected] with AC and overdrive. http://www.maverickgrabber.com

Yes, Granada (or Monarch) disc brakes will fit a '62 Falcon. I have disc brakes from a 1977 Comet on the front of my '63 Ranchero. So Mavericks / Comet are also a possible donor. For the rear, an 8" rear end from a '63 Falcon / Ranchero with a 260 V8 would be ideal.

So, the Granada stuff should fit on the '62 stuff...cool. One more question, we've heard that the '62 Falcon is a different front suspension than the '63...is this true?------------------ Gary M. 1946 Ford pickup 1946 Ford pickup 1957 Ford FL 500 Twn Vic 1970 Mustang SportsRoof

I don't think The Granada spindles will fit on a 1962 Falcon. Unless you change to 4 bolt upper ball joints.I have a factory V8 1963 Falcon and the Granada spinddles fit on it but it had 4 bolt upper ball joints. The holes that the ball joints go into on the spindles are a bigger diameter when you have the 4 bolt.I also think the tie rod ends are different diameters.Mustang Steve sells some tie rod adapters for that problem.

Thanks guys, and Joseph, thank for checking your '62 when you can. It's hard to get ahold of my brother, so if you could help shed some light on the '62 front end, it'll be appreciated.------------------ Gary M. 1946 Ford pickup 1946 Ford pickup 1957 Ford FL 500 Twn Vic 1970 Mustang SportsRoof

It is the Same Style suspension as the Later Falcons and Mustangs, though it has the 3-bolt Ball joints. If push comes to shove you should be able put '63-4 Arms on it.

I don't think you would have to change out the A frames. Its been some time ago that I put the Granada disk on mine. but I think I was told the 4 bolt ball joints could be put on the 3 bolt arms by drilling new holes. if I'm wrong someone please correct me.
