Does anyone remember what year and which engine had the smaller V-8 C-4 converter from the factory? Was it a 64-65 260 or 64-65 289? I put one in MM about a million years ago as it's first stall speed. I seem to recall that I took it out of a 260 wagon. All those years of laying around in junk yard mud must have eaten up some brain cells. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." late, late 63's,64's and early 65, 260's. I had this very same conversation with Jim Paquet about 10 yeasrs ago when I was looking for a converter. Kinda the same as Vega converters for TH350's. Never used one or even found one.....Just saved my pennies and bought one from Jim. How's the season so far?------------------ Todd 71 Mav Grabber All orig 306 cu.in. Cast Iron heads. That's what I thought. I seem to recall that it was an 11 inch compared to the original Shelby 13 inch. Cost me $10 and I did all the labor. Picked up the stall to about 2500 and dropped the ET 3 tenths. I still had a ways to get back to the performance of the 4 speed. Initially I lost a full second when I did the automatic conversion. I do remeber that it was a wood wagon with factory A/C and the jack kept on sinking into the mud. The season has not started for us yet.
