Sorry, I'm sure this a pretty basic question, but what would be involved in dropping a 302 into a 65' Falcon? Would I have to change any mounts or weld any supports or anything? And finally, would I have to beef up the front suspention since I'm going from a straight 6? Thanks

Welcome to M&M!I don't know Falcon specifics, but here is a link to my website which explains the swap in a Maverick. The cars are very similar. http://tech.maverickgrabber.com Click on V8 swap button. ------------------ -Charlie Ping 1970 Maverick Grabber [email protected] with AC and overdrive. http://www.maverickgrabber.com

It will bolt right in using the stock Falcon V-8 engine mounts. Keep in mind that an early transmission will not bolt to a late model bell housing.

I would recommend changing out the 6 suspension to the V8 stuff...especially the brakes. It can be done but wouldn't be safe!!!!! Eveything is bolt on.

I forgot to answer the rest of your question. Here is a site that lists all of the parts necessary to convert a 65-66 Mustang from a 6 to a V-8. It should apply to your 65 Falcon. http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/3573/Special/6to8.htm
