Wow! That is bad ass! Old untouched drag cars are cool, even if they are partially apart ------------------ -Charlie Ping 1970 Maverick Grabber [email protected] with AC and overdrive. http://www.maverickgrabber.com

There are a couple of cool Maverick drag cars around here. One is the old H/MP 70 Maverick that one of our fellow stickshift racer debuted in 1973, & has gone 11.0 ET with a modified 300 Ford 6 cylinder truck engine with a roller cam & 3 Webbers. It pretty much looks the same now as it did 30 years ago. The other is an old B/SM Maverick that ran low 10`s with a Boss 302 back in the mid -late 70`s. Both cars were parked when our only local track closed down in 1978, & then NHRA got rid of Modified Eliminator in 1980. The 6 banger started running again in the mid 80`s when a new track opened 3 hours away, and then the NEW Mission raceway opened in 92. According to a friend of the Boss 302 Mav`s owner, the car is excatly the same as when it was parked in 1978.------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA Stocker under construction, 302 5 speed 59 Meteor (Canadian Ford) 2 dr sedan 332, auto 74 F350 ramp truck 390 4spd
