well the 75 2 door i bought has a nasty rod knock, which i knew when i bought the car. (the rest of the car is good so i went for it anyhow.) i have some reliable connections in the local wrecking yard business. the chances of finding a 302 with a carb by now must be slim but the EFI 302s should be easy to find. is it a major project to remove the EFI and switch to carb? not looking to build up the motor. maybe a 4 barrel and dual exhaust. headers if todd is nice to me. he is going to drive the car eventually and i don't want the car to fly. i know the first time i drove my dads" 350 nova i punched it. thanks

I think if I had it to do again I would just put a whole 5.0 out of a stang in it and keep the EFI. Its not that hard to do.

the cart is weel before the horse(er.. maverick) right now. the karmann ghia goes if for resto in a couple weks...then motor for the 75. todd is doing his part in the financing.. he was walking home and meandered by this house where an old lady was gadening. he spotted an old stingray with a 3 speed rear(?). he asked if she wanted it. she gave it to him. today one of his friends offered him 25 for it. he said 25? look... it's a 3 speed! he took 45 bucks for it.
