I'm a day late, but at least I remembered.

First unit produced was 4/17/69, right?

I was thinking about it the other day when it was Mustangs big day! But I don't think that the 17th was the produced day but it might be the release day? Becouse mine was bought in April 1969 in Middletown CT.

Wow, I forgot!

It was "unveiled" on April 17th, of course production started beforehand (just like the Mustang).

No I have to go apologize to my car

I remember my aunt buying a brand new one,It was the first one I had seen except for pictures,It was kinda yellowish brown,I was about 13 yrs. old so I just sat in it and pretended it was mine.Years later I bought my daughter a 72 grabber for her 16th birthday. When she left for college I got her a new ranger pickup so I inherited the grabber.I've still got my 1st car(1955 crown victoria) and I'll keep hers too!
