My Buddy has a 87 monark with a 351w and an AOD auto and he would like to put it in his soon to be 74 Maverick! That we are picking up this weekend. I've done a 302 swap from a I-6 Will the 351w go the same or is there anything I should know!! I'm thinking there will be a need for a hood scoop becouse of the hight difference what about headers?? cpmaverick Gearhead Posts: 1666 From: Santa Clarita, CA Registered: Jan 2000	posted 02-14-2002 10:05 AM The 351W swap should be identical to the 302 swap, except for the busted knuckles and the cussing when you put the exhaust manifolds or headers on. The height difference is only about 1.5", it should clear just fine under the stock hood. But headers are a big problem. See my v8 swap page for Tubular Automotive contact information.
