Early this eve, still light, went tosupermarket to play lotto and right in front was a 66 Falcon 2 dr. "Sally Rand"'' Sally Rand was a noted stripper of another era and the older car guys referred to a stripped car as a Sally Rand. Car dealers would order a completely stripped car to use as an ad leader. This car was one of those. Sauterne Gold (ugh!} with black interior (combo no one would want!-Easier to move the customer up! This was a 2 dr. bottom line, 3 on the tree, Radio and heater delete!, dog dish (Sam Smith style!) small hubcaps. As cheap as it gets. But it had crappy original paint and interior, rust free, under 100 K and it had belonged to the owner's grandfather! I gave him my no. and told him to call me-tell him about Falcon club which he didnn't know existed. What a treat to see an untouched original!

Got a partial rear quarter patch panel. new drivers door. Metal to repair the cargo area/ front floor pan. eventually wanna replace the 170/2spd auto with a Aussie six cyl.
