We are restoring our 73 comet gt and need to install new floor pans. Where can I find these or will others fit ( mustang floor pans for example)?

Welcome to M&M!!Looks like you have a good answer! New floorpans are not avalible yet, I have heard speculation of using Mustang pans but I don't know of anyone that has done it. ------------------ -Charlie Ping 1970 Maverick Grabber [email protected] Daily Driver http://www.maverickgrabber.com

I too had heard that Mustang floor pans fit Mavs/Comets, so I ordered one for my 72 Mav (where the rear passenger on the driver's side rests his feet). Not even close. I suppose I could have butchered up the piece and made it fit, I chose to return it and get a refund. I cut the rotten piece out and sent it to my brother (works for a Nascar Winston Cup team in Charlotte), he fabbed up a reasonsable facsimile. Just so happens he was in town a couple weeks ago, and he did the install (rivets, not mig). After some seam sealer and undercoating, it fits great. Good luck. Tom
