I know I can upgrade the brakes on a 1970 Maverick by using the 1980's braking system from a granada. I was wondering if there is any way I can do that sort of upgrade but having the capabilities of leaving the original 4 lug rims on? Also, the Maverick has an I6 engine with 120hp engine. I would like to give it a little more power but I don't wish to swap the engine and don't want to put alot of money into it? I hope it's not too much to ask for. I want to add A/C to it and I dont want it to drag. Hope you can help. Manny.

A/C would be atleast a grand! I don't think there ever was 4 lug disks on a Granada. The only thing you could do cheap would be to put a bigger carb on it and a free flowing muffler. Maybe Put a Petronix ignition in it. If you could find a center section with 300ish gears in it and you put a 8" in it you would like that! Headers and Cams are costly!!P.S. Find a 76 Mav. parts car it will have disks brakes and a 5 lug rearend, strip it and put it in yours ! you will save tons of cash! and then it will be easy to find nice wheels for it cheap!
