may seem a dumb question guys but... is the engine cross member in a v8 maverick located just under the engine mounts, kinda looks like a somewhat shaped steel tube only flattened at the ends so it can be mounted to the underside of the frame using a 7/8" bolt on either side? sorry but i insist that i am living proof that nobody gets shot for asking dumb questions! and while i am at it... the reason i gave such a thorough description is cuz todd and i were at our favorite wrecking yard today ( i refuse to call it a junk yard) and i picked up a few things... i looked for and found what i am sure is the crossmember. anyhow he has 3 or 4 of them. (anybody need one?)
and are all years interchangeable?
many many many thanks
scott

Sounds like you are describing it exactly. The engine crossmember is only on V8 cars so look for the V8 frame mounts and the V8 tranny crossmember too. Its worth it to get some extra sets because they are worth some dough and hard to find. You might be able to trade/sell them for something else you need.

I need the cross member and frame section of the mounts to put a v8 in my 70 Maverick. If it's not too much trouble how much would they cost shipped to Denver?

as you may know this is todd, todmeg's son.
there are actually about three extra that we dont really need my dad and me were thinking of selling a couple of them for around $65 on up. it all depends on the condition of the part. its basically first come first serve with the quality of the part. if you want one email my dad at [email protected]
