Bryan1234 Journeyman Posts: 3 From: cordova, tn US Registered: Apr 2006	posted 04-16-2006 10:52 PM I get a wierd popping noise under my car, im pretty sure its the rack and pinion, i had to replace a power steering hose back in 05' when i bought my car. The cougar is a 1991 great condition and ive put alot of money into it to make it a really nice car but this popping noise id like to get fixed it only does it sometimes but right now its pretty bad. Anyone have any idea, given the popping sound gomes when im stopping almost to a complete stop and when i turn left or right. I'd really appriciate anyones help later Bryan

Bryan1234 Journeyman Posts: 3 From: cordova, tn US Registered: Apr 2006	posted 04-23-2006 11:17 PM Ok I was planning on yea i had a power steering hose put on my car bout 2 years ago and i knew about other things on cars except tht steering but i know a hose is easy to put on but the guy tht did it did not take the little o ring off to let it lock into position, anyways it made my power steering fluid leak a bit but it never made it to the rack and pinion so it wore it out. But i called autozone and the part is 99.99 + tax + core charge 80.00 and at advance auto parts 89.99 + tax + core charge 60.00 but yea man im pretty sure thts the reason it tore it up and im going to replace within this month or next.
