Hi New here, Bought one of those cougars from ebay that someone mentioned a few weeks back...actually I'm kicking myself for not getting the white 68 390 that went for a paltry 2k... anyway, the one I picked up is missing some dash parts, and I'm wondering if anyone can give me a run down on the purpose of the 4 idiot lights I'm seeing... unfortunately they are holes with no identifying text, and none are operative.I'm going to re-wire them, i'm just not sure what wires to connect where. thanks

Sorry, My bad I'm pretty sure it's a 67 ('swat the title says] non xrg7, 289 ....Thanks again... I'm pretty sure the dash is mis wired, becasue when the battery is connected the upper right one is on at all times (without the ignition on even). and with the ignition on the one at the lower left is on all the time. THanks!

Maybe the turn signal switch or the wiring in the column is screwed up. There is at least one hot wire going up there with the ignition off to power the hazard lights.------------------ Ed S. 68 S-code FB GT 4spd(now C6)/3.25 PS PDB 68 J-code(now 289) Cp Sprint"B" C4/3L00-9" PDB PS AC Bla-Bla-Bla 99 F150 XLT Ext/cab, 4X4, 5.4L, 3L55 [This message has been edited by 68 S-code GT (edited 04-30-2005).]

Thanks, that kind of helps to confirm what I was concerned about... I'm thinking that the emergency flasher and the flashger mechanism are busted... yeilding the constant on.I just want to be certain before I pop a hundred bucks for a replacement... anyone out there know of a schedule for definitively testing the current for each lead to yeild conclusions that would sopport the above hypothesis? Thanks m
