quote: 1970 Mercury Cougar Eliminator, 428 Cobra Jet (less motor and transmission), Grabber Blue, 1 of 3 Cougar Elimintors with power windows as told to me by the Cougar Registry. Could be the only one left in existance. Possibly the rarest, most desirable, most valuable Eliminator known. If you are looking for a correct 428 cobra jet with all the luxuries, this is it. Options include Ram Air, rear window defroster, intermittent wipers, tilt wheel, power steering, power brakes, and power windows, air conditioner, automatic transmission, fully loaded for the year. This car is less motor and transmission, and is need of a full restoration. Rust is minimum. Car comes with a console, two good used fenders, and hood (not pictured). All Cougar Eliminator rare parts are included.
Actually, it is a whole lot of car even without the drivetrain. It is going to worth something restored. I believe automatic seat back release is the seat backs are able to be tilted forward when the vehicle is stopped without having to pull a manual release lever. They lock when the vehicle is in motion. It's been awhile...

One of my 70 Mustangs had the seat release option. If I recall correctly, there is a solenoid in each seat back, when the door is opened, the solenoids release the seat latches.------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA M/Stock 302 5speed. the "real" cougars [sorry, i am biased!] the real cougars have sequentials.... they ended about the time the cougars got to be super-long sedan-y looking huge-mobiles.... [not that there is anything wrong with that... ahem....] and kevin marti is who can help you with the codes also there is a registry you can submit your vin and they will add you to it.... http://www.theclassiccougarnetwork.com/elim/defin/clones.html happy cattin' kk
