...I dont get it, is this some kind of kit to transform a 67/8 into a convertible? or just a regular ebay scam?

Sounds like he doesn't know the first year for Cougar convertibles was '69.It's probably a Mustang top he assumes fits a Cougar too. ------------------

Thought that might be the case, have seen a couple 67s that guys butchered into convertibles & they actually look pretty good with the top down, too bad mercury never built a few. (would never chop my own up though...)

Kevin Marti has a 67 XR-7 cv that he made out of 67 Mustang parts. It is fully optioned, Az rustfree and very nice. Saw it in a mag. Would love to see it in color.
