Today I noticed that the front parking lights on my 1967 Cougar do not come on when the headlights are on. They do work when the head light switch is pulled half way out. (parking lights only) However when I pull the switch all the way out the headlights are on and the front parking lights are off. Turn signals still work. Is this normal or do I have an electrical problem to track down?------------------ 67 COUGAR 289 bored 30 over Edelbrock heads & intake, 600 Holley, Comp cam, MSD, headers, bald tires.

This is the way they came through. I can't remember if it was 1968 or later that the Feds set regulations that the park lamps stay on with the headlamps.Old age is a terible thing... ------------------ I am looking for information concerning factory performance/aftermarket speed parts (1958/1960) used on the MEL (Mercury-Edsel-Lincoln) (Also Thunderbird 59/60) Engine Series (383-410-430-462) produced from 1958 thru 1968. Thanks, I've been working on this car for two years and this is the first time I've noticed that the parking lights did not stay on. Glad to know that this should be normal.------------------ 67 COUGAR 289 bored 30 over Edelbrock heads & intake, 600 Holley, Comp cam, MSD, headers, bald tires.
