I know they were available on the 69/70 cats but I'm not sure about prior years.

our 67 & 68's have a pedal you can use to activate the wipers as needed..... it is located where some older emergency brake pedals are [or still are in most trucks] ...... i sure do miss that feature in my 69catvertible!!

i am not certain if any 67/68 releases had delays....

I know the pedal your talking about, and if it's anything like my mustang,(and it probably is) if your only working the wipers then your windshield washer bottle is empty!

nah..... on mine, you can press it about half-way to activate the wiper, and all the way down to pull the fluid!

I'll have to try that! Still no delay, but nice if it's just a mist.

one of my fave stories about the pedal:

years ago, a grrlfrinn and i went out for supper.... it was a nasty misty-rainy night..... i made a point to be obvious about having both hands on the wheel..... and very discreetly pressed the wiper pedal......after a few wipes of the blades, teri said "wow! that's neat! you never turned them on ..... how do they work??"

and i replied with a straight-face:

"when ford developed these, they put in a windshield sensor .... so.... when it begins to rain, the wipers know when to clean the windshield"

she was in AWE!!!!

heh heh
i kept that one going for quite a while until i finally broke down and told her the real-deal..... months later!!!

i still get a kick telling that one! this happened in the late 80's.....
teeeeeeheheheheheeeheheeee
