Being a cat myself,(LEO),it's only natural that I like cats...I like the classic cars...'67 to '73...but I never tried to purchase one...I've owned 2 Cougars in my life...(might not qualify)...a 1977 lead sled...(heavy and the wrong engine 351M),and a fox bodied 1985 XR-7...(converted from 4cyl.turbo to 302CFI...and horribly I might add)...Never had a problem with the '77...it was just fugly... ,the '85 was a very nice ride...Luxurious sound-proof,loaded interior...but under the hood was a wiring nightmare from the conversion. The only reason I junked it was because at the time,I didn't have a house with a garage, and the body started to rust from the inside out(seemed like almost over night)...I did however snag the 3.45 geared trac-loc rear end w/sway bar,and the springs,(looked new),the lumbar bucket seats (minus power bracketry)and miscellaneous other useful parts to use on my '83 Mustang GT...I'm sorry I didn't grab the non-computer controlled AOD tranny though...one classic model Cougar I especially like is the '72-'73 convertible....don't see many of those around much...here kitty kitty kitty...ROAAARRR...

The only Cougar I've owned {so far} was a '71 that I bought with over 100k miles, drove it for another 100k miles, then stripped it. I rebuild the 351C from it, and popped it in my Sprint.

That was an awesome car, and I was stupid to part it out. I only did it because I wanted the engine. I should have just bought another 351C. I have no doubt I'd still be driving it now.

well i used to own what i considered a 66 1/2 cougar i was told it was an early 67 but it had the original pinkslip with it you know the little pink square, and it saied purchased jan 1 67. was also a gt. but i was a victim of lack of knowledge. didnt know how to build an engine (still dont but gonna give it a whirl). i left it with a guy (chevy guy) to build my engine and some how my car became the victim of a chop shop. I was almost done with my restoration too. just thought id let that be known sorry for rambling
