Will a center console from a '68 mustang automatic fit a '68 cougar automatic? Are they the same?

Thanks.

hi DaveK!!!!

i checked with my techical advisor and dad says that "...physically the two are interchangeable. The Cougar had a
clock option that was exclusive to it. The Mustang did not have the clock
option. "

hope that is helpful!

You're absolutely right. The center console on 67/68 XR-7 Cougars had a clock, while the console on "Standard"(non-XR7) Cougars had a roll-up door. In both models, the console was an optional item, although most Cougars had one.
