Will a center console from a '68 mustang automatic fit a '68 cougar automatic? Are they the same?Thanks.

hi DaveK!!!!i checked with my techical advisor and dad says that "...physically the two are interchangeable. The Cougar had a clock option that was exclusive to it. The Mustang did not have the clock option. " hope that is helpful! kk

I thought the clock was only on the XR-7?

You're absolutely right. The center console on 67/68 XR-7 Cougars had a clock, while the console on "Standard"(non-XR7) Cougars had a roll-up door. In both models, the console was an optional item, although most Cougars had one. ------------------ Dan
