Anybody here done the upgrade to the cobra brakes on an SN95? My '95 is going to need new brakes upfront (rotors, pads, etc) in the near future, so now might be a good time to upgrade. Is the Cobra set up a bolt on, or are there specific parts besides the rotors and calipers that I need? Second, is the swap worth it, is stopping distance reduced?------------------ Gary M '70 Mustang 63B SportsRoof '95 Mustang GT coupe and 4 other classic Fords

Heh...I had this same question a few months ago. From the responses I got there, there's nothing else that really needs to be upgraded other than the calipers, pads, rotors, and brake lines. Just the fronts too. Rears don't really need upgrading since they don't do as much work. And apparently, you will notice a BIG difference in stopping power. ------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '03 Mustang GT coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good" My GT on MMS

Gary, There are several kits out there that have the lines, calipers, rotors, and pads in them already, including several right from Ford.http://www.buyfordracing.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=592 Obviously, you will need 17" wheels on the car already to clear the brakes. Other than that, it is a straight foward swap. Hope that helps. Scott

Thanks for the replies guys. I already have 17" wheels ('04 GT), so that is no problem. I'm gonna start shopping around for the best prices. Thanks guys.------------------ Gary M '70 Mustang 63B SportsRoof '95 Mustang GT coupe and 4 other classic Fords
