I've run across a '96 Mystic Cobra that's for sale. The car is perfect, has 75,000 miles and he wants $12,000 for it. I'm a '65 Mustang kinda guy, so I'm not sure if $12k is reasonable. Any kinda help would be greatly appreciated.Ed

If it's truly flawless and runs great, etc...that's not too bad of a deal for a Mystic. May be a bit high for a Cobra otherwise. There was one for sale near me about 2 years ago for $9K. ------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '03 Mustang GT coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good" My GT on MMS

I've looked at Kelly Blue Book, and they list a standard Cobra at around $9500. I guess the expensive paint makes up the difference.

The Mystic paint was a $2K option, and "only" 2000 units were produced. So there is a hint of exclusivity to the Mystics, but they're not too uncommon.More difficult to find would be a Chrome Yellow or Bright Atlantic Blue '98 Cobra. There were only a couple hundred of each produced in those colors. And they were standard colors in the Mustang line that year. ------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '03 Mustang GT coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good" My GT on MMS
