Has anybody here used a chip in their car? I'm talking about the kind that plug into the computer, modify spark and all. There is a local shop here that custom does JET ones for around $250. They claim improvements in both HP and torque. My GT is all stock right now, later will add a K&N, but nothing much more than that for now. So, any opinions, good or bad?------------------ Gary M '46 Ford 1/2 ton, '46 Mercury 1/2 ton, '47 1 ton, '57 Fairlane 500, '70 Mustang 63B SportsRoof, '95 Mustang GT coupe

I would suggest the SCT X-Cal I or X-Cal II. You can install multiple programs. We have seen not only performance improvements but mileage improvements as well. It's the combination of the CAI, exhaust and tune that will get you the power. Ron ------------------ 65 FB, 347 CI, C4, 4.56 60: 1.360 1/8: 6.17 @ 112 1/4: 9.74 @ 137

Look into the Diablo Predator this will allow you to upgrade to a high performance tune electronically you will also be able to store your factory tune so that you can always revert back. Chek it out! I like it also because it's a good diagnostic tool

Finish your mods (intake, etc.), then get the tune. That way you'll take full advantage of your mods.
