My son and I are about to replace the brake rotors and pads on his 02 V6 Mustang. I was going to check the front hub bearings to see if it would need some repacking. While reading the Haynes manual, it said that the front hub retaining nut needs to be torqued down to 221-295 foot pounds! My torque wrench only goes up to 75 pounds. Could this be correct?------------------ reliving youth

Yes, it is correct. I wouldn't bother to check the bearings. They are sealed bearings, so can not be greased. Hopefully that helps.Scott

Thanks for the input. I thought it would be like the older disc brake rotors, but these are different, they're both like rear rotors. I guess when time comes for a repack, it'll be off to the dealer. Thanks again. ------------------ reliving youth
