I am building a kit car with a narrowed Ford IRS suspension. I need to use coilover shocks for several reasons not the least of which is that the lower A-arm no longer has room for spring perch. I am trying to get some input as to where to start. At full drop there is barely room for a 17" shock. The distance from full drop to full bump is just under 7". I have no idea what dappening rate I would need nor how I would choose a spring coil rating. Any suggestions?
