I just ordered pads for the '01 Saleen. Can't find 13" pads anywhere but Saleen. Cost me $150 and worse, they're only lasting about 10k miles! Anybody know where I could find some longer lasting ceramics?

I talked to a couple of Saleen folks and they like the Porterfield Racing Brakes, both the R4-S and the Hawk lines. Might be worth checking out at least. http://www.porterfield-brakes.com ------------------ 2002 Laser Red GT Coupe 1991 F-150 XLT 4x2 5.0

Jeg's Racing sells Hawk brand pads. They can probably hook you up.dave ------------------ Dave 68 Coupe, 289, restomod in process 68 GT Fastback, resto in process 97 Cobra .vert, daily driver

I got no dice at either of those. Hawks makes pads for them, I'm told, but nobody seems to have them. Jegs and Summit don't carry them. I finally have a guy in NY that seems to think he has them, but now there's some debate about which brakes I have on it. Apparently, Saleen switched brakes in '01 (just my luck) so there's some debate about which pads I need. I'm going to have to pull them off to see what they are. The saga continues....

If I remember correctly, Baer makes the brakes for Saleen. Try contacting them, they may be able to recommend a pad vendor. I also second the Porterfield option, there is a good chance they would have something that could help.Scott
