I've got a buddy who has just purchased an '03 6cyl sliver 'Stang. ( I know, I know, he did it for the gas mileage, he has a big commute to work and back everyday ). Anyway, he just tinted, threw some 18 in chrome Cob's on it and now he is wondering what kind of sound he would get out of 1 flowmaster. Can anyone help with info? Does anyone know anyone with a 6 who has done this? Its O.K. you can speak up you don't have to be (No I'm only KIDDING all of you 6cyl owners you are all my boys too, you are still apart of the Mustang family). My mum had a 96 Mustang with the V6 with a single flow. It sounded all right. Not the V8 sound. But still. Better than nothing. He also might want to consider a dynomax turbo... they sound alot better than flows in my opinion.

On my 97 V6 I put dynomax true duals on it....it was not V8 but sounded damn good to be a V6. I wouldn't put Flows on a V6...go with dynomax

I actually met a kid a few nights ago with a 94 6cyl mustang and he had one dynomax TURBO on his it sounded good for a 6cyl with 1 muffler. It beats sounding stock thats for sure.

Little slow on this one sorry. The son took his 96 V6 (now traded in)and our local exhust shop done a dual on it.Excellent sound using some "generic" short performance mufflers.

My son has a 02 V6. Sounds okay for single exhaust with the skinny factory headers. I advised him not to do anything with the exhaust, a waste of money IMO. Why make a dual exhaust when a real V8 will show up and blow your doors off? (Flame suit on)

LOL....no flames, some can drive a V6 and some can't This "little" V6 would keep up with a 94 Cobra Thur 3 gear shifts,,until that 8 started to breath deep Does your sons have the cast or tubular exhaust headers from factory? here's a link to a photo or two. http://jason.mustangsandmore.ws/95.html [This message has been edited by mustangs68 (edited 01-09-2005).]

Sorry, haven't responded earlier. His V6 has the tubular exhaust. Is that a factory option? It sounds kind of throaty with the stock muffler, not bad, but being that I'm comparing it to my 67 with full length headers and a roller cam, I might be one sided. Someday, I may even let him drive my 67 toploader.
