As some of you may know, I ordered a 2003 Mach1 back in May of 2003 only to find I couldn't take delivery because my wife was laid off, then she and I separated for a second time. Well, things are finally back on track with us again, which means finances are back in order. As some of you may also know, I've been REALLY looking for another 2003 Mach 1 over the past couple of months. The Ford dealership I work at found a brand new "still on the lot" 2003 with 95 miles on it down in a ho-dunk town in Oklahoma (Stigler) never heard of it. The sticker price is $29,135. After the (Ford employee) D-plan discount-$25,706. Deduct the 2003 Mustang rebate of $4000-$21,706. Since I'm in the Navy reserves, deduct the Military Appreciation Rebate of $750. Before taxes and tags, $20,956. I'm going to put some money down and finance $17,000 @60 months at an amazing rate of 3.85% = 311.96 a month for a brand new Mach 1. DAM! I'm glad I waited! When I was going to buy that other one right off the truck, NO $4750 rebate! Too bad I bought my plane tickets to Nashville already, would have loved to driven it down there!------------------ Sub Stanger/1990 LX 5.0 convertible (AOD to T5 conversion....completed)& the BUN in the famous "SUB SAMMICH" in Atlanta! Damn, I'm jealous. When I bought mine I paid a LOT more than that and they didn't give me the $750 rebate either. I actually did get a good deal at the time, just it was the wrong time.Lesson learned though, it was the first car I ever bought new. Next car will either be 1-2 years used or previous model year still on the lot.

Sig, that was $4750 worth of rebates, not just the $750 military rebate...WAHOO. Judging from your location in your signature (Beaufort, SC) I'm thinking you're either a Marine or work with them? I got my loan approved today and am having the car trailered up tomorrow for a Thursday closing. Oh, and it's white. I originally ordered a torch red, but started seeing a couple of the red ones here look kind of orangey. My next choice was Azure Blue, but no one in the 4 state region had one with a 5 speed, so I'm going with my only other choice, the white. I own a white Mustang now. The black shaker and stripes on the Mach look clean and mean.Click on the link for a pic of an oxford white mach 1: http://www.mach1registry.org/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=2548 ------------------ Sub Stanger/1990 LX 5.0 convertible (AOD to T5 conversion....completed)& the BUN in the famous "SUB SAMMICH" in Atlanta! Craig, nice score! Gotta love getting a new Mustang!Sam (Sig) is indeed a Marine. I'm surprised you've not seen his postings before. He's our resident FA-18 fighter pilot extraordinair! Heh heh heh, I wanna ride in his work vehicle...just once...maybe twice!! Glad he's back from the Middle East too. Stewart
