Theres a 98 Cobra at my dads work, it's 62000 miles on it but it's got a knock in the engine. So no one wants to touch it, and they're asking 5 grand for it. And I'm just curious what these cars run normally. My dads wanting to buy it and pull the engine out and see what the problem is but not sure if it'll be worth it after parts etc. So I was just wanting to get someone elses opinion. Thanks!
EDIT: 6500 would be the walkin' out price not 5 grand sorry.

Even '98s are still over the $10K mark in great condition.

What color is it? Atlantic Blue and Chrome Yellow are the two "rarest" colors of Cobras in 1998. Only a couple hundred of each made then.

IMO, $5K sounds like a fairly decent price. I believe you can get a crate motor for them for about $5K.

I just bought a 98 Cobra and its yellow for 17 grand with a warrenty. Its over priced but its got 20000 miles on an original motor and a mint condition exterior and interior. Never seen snow. I love it and am so happy with it. 65000 is a good deal if its got a problem book value is 15000.
