My buddy has a 2000 GT and wants me to help him to put headers & exhaust on it. What combo is the best bang for my buck & who should I call to order??What Shorties? What Pipe and muffler to the back? ------------------ Mike DeMayo NMRA Hot Street 3117 PRO Pro Stock 5117

Dunno about headers, but the popular choices for the rest of the system are typically Flowmasters, Magnaflows, and Bassani.Bassani's the priciest...something like $650 for their stainless steel cat-back. Magnaflows are a couple hundred less. Flowmasters are about the same, if not a little cheaper, than Magnaflows. ------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '03 Mustang GT coupe '99 Mustang coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good"

With the headers, I would go with JBA shorty headers, which will run you bout 250.00 and with the exhaust without a doubt Borla! Borla has an unreal deep tone and just growls at you. The whole exhaust kit will probably run you about 650.00. But it all depends on what you want. Flowmasters (thats what I have) has a good tone but I like loud exhaust so I am switching to Borla, Magnaflow has a real good tone and actually adds a pinch more HP than Flowmaters.
