how long will it last behind a slightly hopped up 5.0 and how much weaker is it then a t5

It all depends. I think all the V6 5 speed transmissions were rated at 265 ft/lbs (at least 94-97). So if you have a healthy engine and sticky tires, not too very long. The T5 in the 90-95 5.0 mustangs was rated at 300, with the cobra transmission being slightly higher than that at 310 ft/lb. Also, don't forget about input shaft length. The 94/5 5.0 T5 has a longer input shaft that the pre 93 transmission. I think the V6 transmission has the longer input shaft length like the 5.0 version has. Hope that helps.Scott
