ive stumble across some interesting info. Ive seen internet sites that have info on police interceptors. They say that the ltd crown vic got forged internals oil colers and tranny coolers but lose a lttle horsepower. how important or batter is forged internals. how could you tell the difference. and the new vics you can opt for the dohc motor in the police interceptors, with forged pistons, thats the motor i want to get my hands on.
i just thought that would be an interesting conversation being i just swapped my motor and tranny

Forged pistons take lots more abuse without damage, and are much more resistant to damage from detonation.
