First of all, I think this website is the BEST! It has been so incredibly helpful to me (and to others, I'm sure) to hear from all of you knowledgeable folks! It has really been a help to me and my Mustangs!

I have yet another question to ask you all. I am putting a new clutch and pressure plate into my 1996 GT, and although I am having no problems so far, one tiny detail has me a bit stumped. The manufacturer says that I should use a "non-oil based cleaner" to clean the pressure plate before installing it. Does anybody have any recommendations for the cleaner I should use? Just about everything I can think of has an oil base (I think). Should I just wipe the plate clean with a clean shop towel instead of using a cleaner? Should I just throw the whole thing into the dishwasher (JUST KIDDING)? What do you all say...and...THANKS in advance...
