Just picked up some brochures yesterday on this new Beast and am already hooked! Just spent the last hour or so looking up any more sites on the net that I could find. Beautiful car with all the right touches to make it retro correct! May have to let my older one go for the down payment......A/C, cruise, tilt, 3.55 gears, functioning shaker, still would get the "good" feeling when driving a new Mach 1 I bet (other than the payment once a month, ha, ha.

Yep, that price tag is out of my reach sadly. Otherwise, I would've placed my order back in May when they started taking orders. Honest. But right up near $30K? No can do. ------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '99 Mustang coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good" '76 Cobra--project

Have you seen the ones from Ford's Media web site? I have some of those saved on my hard drive...I can post them if you haven't seen them, but I'll need to scale them down some. They're BIG.------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '99 Mustang coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good" '76 Cobra--project

Okay, it's ready. I set up a page with the pictures I have of the Mach 1.Frank's Mach 1 Page This page is graphic-laden...over 350K of just pictures. I have larger copies of the first 4 and last 2 pictures on that page (MUCH bigger...over a meg each, and about 2000 pixels wide). The others in between are as-is. That's how I have them, and that's how I got them. ------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '99 Mustang coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good" '76 Cobra--project

I just ordered one today!! My "D" plan price is $25,300....actual retail is $28,995 without either of the two options, one being an automatic (yeah, right!), and the other is an interior upgrade. I don't know if I'm going to be able to afford it as the dealership I work at doesn't have the residual numbers yet for a lease. I'm sure since this will be such a low production car, the the residual will be very ANTI-leaseable. So, we'll see. ------------------ Sub Stanger/1990 LX 5.0 convertible. You must work for a really great dealer. Ford won't tell us how many we will get this year. I work at a medium size store and we may possibly get 3 or 4 for the model year. It's hard for most dealers to give up the potential profit for a "d" or "a" plan sale.

Ring66, Apparantly, the dealerships won't get ANY Mach 1's allocated to them, they're going to be strictly customer order only. Our dealership has 7 on order right now, and have all been ordered from customers with names and addresses. As for the dealer's profit, Ford actually pays the commission straight to the dealership, so the dealership isn't losing any money on the deal. That's how I understand the "d" plan pricing. I just read on www.dplan.ford.com that there are actually many restrictions on using the "d" plan, and one of them is that the employee is required to own the car for at least 6 months before he sells it, or he'll lose his "d" plan benefits. Basically that means that I can't walk in, buy my Mach 1 at $25,500 then turn around and surely get $29,500 3 or 4 months later when there are no more available, and make a $4000 profit for myself. I'm getting pretty fired up! Can't wait. ------------------ Sub Stanger/1990 LX 5.0 convertible; 2003 Mach 1 (on order!!)
