LuAnn's 96 Cobra only had one remote when we bought it and I just got one I bought on eBay for $16. Anyone know how to program it? Dave

It isn't in your manual?I don't know if it's the same procedure as my '99, but basically it's flipping the ignition switch on and off a few times, then pressing a button on the remote within a certain time, and flipping the key again. The exact procedure I can't remember right now, but it is outlined in my owner's manual. ------------------ Frank S.----MCA Member 40390 '99 Mustang coupe '77 Ghia--"II Good" '76 Cobra--project

Owner's manual says "take it to your dealer". Yeah, right!

Yes you have to take it to the dealer. Odd they didn't give you 2 when you bought the Stang. Our Dealership gave us 3 for each when we bought the '95s (one Vert and one Coupe) Sam (added)Yours have the Chip in them correct..may be the reason you got only one.[This message has been edited by mustangs68 (edited 05-10-2002).]

We bought it used last year Sam.You don't have to take it to the dealer. I had a buddy at a Ford dealership check the service manual for me today. With his instructions, it ought to take me all of 2 minutes to take care of it.
