Is there a trick to removing the oem (Chrome) badges or emblems from a car..... Are they all "Stuck" on with good mounting tape ? Will it pull the paint ??? Should they be heated with a hair dryer and gently pryed off...or will things get totally screwed up..... For example the GT emblem on the front quarter.... just wondering....thanks...------------------ EDDIE D Resto Mod '70 Sport Roof Arrest Me Red

You might get lucky with a heat gun or you might pull the paint off. I saw a guy try it on the 5.0 badge on his car and it took the paint with it.------------------ Boss 302 & Saleen S281

When I prepped my 5.0 for painting, I just used a single edge razor and seperated the two-sided tape from the body. It came off without any problems. No scratches or anything. Just be careful and you shouldn't damage the paint.Stewart PS - If you intend to put them back in the same spot, I'd suggest you take a picture of their location, and/or get a triangulated measurement from two points so you can put them back in the exact same spot. I forgot to do that and I had to "eyeball" the placements.

Thanks Randy and Stew......I'll probably leave well enough alone...I was glad when the GT's dropped the italicsed 4.6 under the GT logo and went back to the old GT emblem. Was just wondering, because I have this strange "Personality Disorder" to ALWAYS make sure my car DOES NOT look like anyone else's..... (Without screwing it up)..been working on a few things that are already getting some "Eyes"..but I have just a few more subtle exterior and interior cosmetics/changes left to do...when I'm done I'll have Steve L change the pics on the Member's pages..... By the way....I really do love this '02 and got 1 questionaire from Ford and just now another..... I gave the car good reviews and recommended they come with "Lower" sport springs for a cleaner stance, a better shifter for the 5 speed, white faces gauges for the GT, not just the Cobra...and a little more "Color" in the interior...my Graphite (dark Grey) interior is nice..but the WHOLE interior is this color..EVERYTHING...and I think it could be broken up with a different shade of grey on some spots.... Just my 2 cents....who will listen ???------------------ EDDIE D Resto Mod '70 Sport Roof Arrest Me Red

The GT badges have 2 posts on the back. If you remove them you'll be left with 2 holes in the fender.------------------ JT '68 Coupe w/351W '01 Bullitt #3357, Dark Highland Green
