friend of a friend totaled his 99 cobra and the insurance company wants 3500.00 for the car...i haven't seen it but engine and trans are SUPPOSED to be ok (also know the car was driven HARD)that dohc would look cool all polished up and dropped in to the '69

Oh hell yeah...snag it, if it's okay. I recall seeing those Cobra crate motors going for about $5K-$6K. $3500 isn't too bad.------------------

The bad news is that the mod motor won't fit. If you check the dimensions, you'll find it's even wider than a Boss 429. ------------------

Good point there Mr Steve. These things should carry a wide load sign on em. Although 3500 for that motor is still a steal.Mike

NO! For goodness sakes, don't kill a II!!! NOOOOOO!!!! I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever EVER forgive you if you do that!! Go to Fat Man's, or Heidt's, or somewhere that sells aftermarket!! NOOOOO!!!!!!------------------

IIGOOD: someone already took the liberty of tweaking the II (rear ended by a 3/4 ton ford 4x4)it's scrap froom the doors back!

That is a great price for the Cobra motor but don't you also need all the computer software to make it run correctly?? And if the tranny comes with it that is even a better price.  ------------------
