I've noticed my '02 seems to me to have quite a bit of "Oversteer"...it's bone stock..but suspension wise I had contacted Steeda and ordered their "Sport Springs"...Great tech staff and I was told that the Springs will lower the 'Stang about 1.4 inches without a need to change shocks or struts.....
You all know I'm no mechanic......I see the '02 has a rear stabilizer bar....and I'm assuming oversteer is a suspension "problem".
Any way to correct or lessen it without "Major Surgery"?????
Thanks...

Hey Eddie, if you ever need (want) to order Steeda parts again, go here...

http://www.motorsport-depot.com/catalog-ford.html

They are an authorized Steeda dealer, and they sell Steeda parts for less than ordering directly from Steeda. Wish I woulda known about them before I ordered my new Steeda clutch cable, quadrant and firewall adjuster a few months ago. I coulda saved a pretty penny.

I did order the Tri-Ax from them (Motorsport Depot) just the other day. Installed it Sunday night and it's fantastic!

As for the suspension geometry, I know Griggs Racing can't be beat! Expensive as heck, but damn worth the money. Maximum Motorsports and Steeda are also good places for suspension pieces.

I'm not sure, but doesn't the front sway bar affect the over and under steer more than the rear sway bar?

Thanks for the great info Stew....appreciate it...every million dollars helps..
Tell me about the Tri-Ax.....is it really noticeable...'cause I think the shifter on the '02 is really sloopy, long, and not real "Precise".....
Your ?? on Sway Bars...you know that ....I CERTAINLY DON"T KNOW>>>>>
I thought Sway Bars might be a derivation of Gay Bars...only the customers are staraight...but pretty well soused and start "Swaying"...

ROTFLMAO!! Too funny!

As for the Tri-Ax? Noticeable aint the word! Damn thing shifts like a Porche now. Crisp, clean, SOLID, and short! I couldn't powershift from 1st to 2nd, or 2nd to 3rd before because of the factory stick. Now, ya can't even get out the "budah-bing" from "budah-bing, budah-bang, buduh-boom" and you're in the next gear!

BUY ONE! Use the link I supplied above and when you call 'em, make sure you tell them which tranny you have. If they don't have one yet for that new tranny Ford has been putting in the new GT's, call Steeda and see what they say. If they tell you which one to get, call the Motorsport Depot back and order from them!! $169 and free shipping. Steeda sells 'em for $189 and they charge for shipping.

New mustangs have really quick initial turn in but understeer in general. You just need to get used to it. Dial in any more understeer and you'll be plowing into the trees.

Thanks Stew and Randy........OK I'll get used to it...I did go from an F-150 4x4 to the 'Stang so it's basically like going from a "Semi" to a Trans Am car.....
But the car does feel pretty loose out back and the steering is VERY quick and sensitive.
I'll lighten up on the wheel during curves and try not to "Horse" it thru...
Thanks Again.....
Glad you liked my "Joke" Stewie.......but you're easy to make laugh....
