I am looking for an origonal look for my car next summer, and was looking for some feed back from the M&M bunch. What I am thinking is this. A set of 15x10 Ford styled steel wheels in back, and 15x8's (or 7's) in the front, chrome of course. Stockton wheels http://www.stocktonwheel.com/oemwheels.htm has just the rims I am thinking about (check out site.) I wish I could paste a picture of those rims on a SN95, but for now I just have to visualize and take some feedback from the group. Are new trend perhaps?? Be honest...........

Those are the ones, but in chrome, with the proper backspacing. Big tall, wide 10 inchers in the back, with whatever size in front to complement. I know the standard size would look weird, but seeing that these are custom.......

Each person has their own style, likes, and dislikes. With that said, while I like the pattern and style of that wheel, I think putting a small 15" rim on a SN95 (or even a Fox Mustang for that matter) would look dreadful.Just my humble opinion. 15's are too small and would look very funny. Stewart

Point well taken. So you think looks wise, a 17" rim should be the minimum, whatever it may be? What size rims do the drag guys use when they stuff the rear wheel wells? Just looking for something unique!

Although I have no firsthand knowledge on this subject, I would check to make sure that the 15" rims would clear the brake calipers. Personally, I think its pretty tough to beat the OE Torque Thrusts for good looks.------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA Stocker under construction, 302 5 speed

Yes. If I were changing rims, the smallest I would go would be 17's. Stewart

nice to see we all agree. Check some pictures of drag cars that have 15" rims. They look like silly 13" in those huge wheel openings. a 17" steel rim is waaaaaay too heavy to consider. Four of them probably adds 80lbs to the car.
