Can someone help me id a this 4.6. the code on the valve cover is EG804AA.

can't help you with the code but what does it look like? Does it have a plastic or aluminum intake? Get the part# off the intake it should help too.

I think it is aluminum. I will check. There is a date code on the sticker on 12/93. It appears to be a 94 model 4.6L. It may be out of a Crown Vic.

If it's out of a Crown Vic, the throttle body will be on the opposite side of the intake, when compared to a Mustang 4.6L. The intake will also be made of black plastic.
