I think it is 60mm or very close to that. All the catalogs show a 65mm and 70mm 'upgrade'. What size are you thinking of going with? I would also look at matching the proper size Mass Air Meter to whatever size you choose. I hear the Pro-M Bullet 75mm is a good choice...anyone have some experience with this mod? Mike

Mike, all the upgrades on my 5.0 were done before I bought my car. One of the mods done was an upgrade from the 60mm stock T/B to a 65mm T/B. The mass air meter wasn't changed out. The only other induction modification I have is a Texas Tornado underbody cold-air scoop and K&N filter. So far, this seems to be working great. I know it's at least a bit faster than a SN95 4.6 modular 'vert with 3 teenagers in it! And that's without my GT having any engine mods. Stewart PS - I agree with you. Jon's stock T/B is probably 60mm. I know mine was. [This message has been edited by Stewart (edited 09-17-2000).]

Not that you'd ever street race, Stew. I'm going out on a limb for you here - there may be some tracks which allow passengers. Specially in LALA Land? LOL -jc

Mike, I don't know. What size do you suggest? I am new to modern engines. I guess I was thinking 70mm. That might require exhaust mods, which I plan next. I think the exhaust is 2", the big tips notwithstanding. Thanks, -jc

I was always told that unless you're going to supercharge your engine, you don't "need" a 70MM. That a 65MM would be fine for mods up to, but NOT including, getting fully blown.Stewart

I agree Stewart! If you're not going to get fully blown then go with the 65mm. A very popular setup is the 65mm TB and 77mm mass air. You can pick the vendor that you like best, there are plenty to choose from. Get yourself a nice set of catalogs and make a Christmas Wish List. Santa just might be good to you this year...Mike

Absolutely Mike. But then again, getting partially blown (Y'know, buying the supercharger, but not installing it yet) has it's moments too! Stewart
